Sujit Choudry is known for his deep work on constitutional law and politics. He frequents other countries to speak on law and politics. He has advised several countries like Nepal, Egypt, Libya, and Ukraine. He has been exposed to various environments, and that has helped him to become a better advisor.

He grew up in Toronto, Canada, but was born in Delhi, India. His parents were setting him up for success from a young age because they would have him to read the newspaper and keep the radio on CBC. This increased his passion for culture and learning. His parents were both professors. His father taught economics and his mother taught nursing.

Sujit Choudry obtained a Bachelors in Law from Oxford University. He obtained an additional law degree from the University of Toronto. He received his graduate law degree from Harvard Law School. A year after that he started teaching law at the University of Toronto.

Sujit Choudry often writes pieces on law and political happenings of other countries because it is something he has great knowledge of. He has more than one hundred articles, chapters, reports and more to his credit. With all of this going on many may think he does not have much time for anything else; however, this is not the case. Sujit Choudry is on the executive committee of the International Society of Public Law. Choudry is a part of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Constitutional Law and a member of the International Advisory Council of the Institute for Integrated Transitions. He also has editorial positions for several organizations.

It is easy to see why many believe that Sujit Choudry is one of the top experts on constitutional law and politics. Since it is something he cares about, he studies it and shows others how everything is correlated.

Judge Marco Antonio Marques da Silva works at the Court of Appeals in Brazil’s capital, Sao Paolo. He spends his days hearing cases of various magnitudes and preparing decisions. In his words, Judge Marco finds this line of work enthralling and intellectually stimulating. The judge is not afraid of making waves as seen in the recent overturning of a court decision regarding a trafficking duo.


From the impressionable age of fifteen, Marco Antonio Marques da Silva knew that he wanted to pursue a career in law. He went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in law in 1981 from the Pontifical Catholic University. Thereafter, he attained his Masters in Law in 1991 and a Doctorate in Law in 1995. While his academic work flourished, Marco ventured into the field of law by taking a job as a member of the state judiciary. This job required him to traverse different counties ranging from Sao Paolo to Monte Alto.


Aside from his thriving career as a judge, Marco works as a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo based at the Faculty of Law of PUC-SP where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. Marco Antonio’s job description goes further to include offering advice to Master’s and Ph.D. students and helping them publish their work.


His teaching job requires him to travel quite a bit and collaborate with notable figures in academia who give their two-cents in research work. Marco Antonio Marques da Silva appreciates that it is through meaningful collaboration that ideas come to life and it encourages people to be open-minded. Judge Marco is a member of the Scientific Council for the LISBON LAW REVIEW and the Scientific Committee of “INTERPRETATIO PRUDENTIUM. He is presently working on publishing a book focusing on human rights and how to grow a successful career in this regard. The book, he says, is inspired by numerous conferences touching on a globalized society which he reckons is the way of the future for people around the world.
